$5/person to raise money for projects related to sustainability, with a 
focus on transportation, in particular mass transit in Baltimore. For

in the family our Platform speaker, Lena Pons, the platform is being 
postponed

Sun Sep 21: 10:30 Platform: Ethical Action. BES member Ben Busby will 
coordinate a discussion/presentation on Ethical Action.

Deborah da Costa (aka Dr. Deborah P. Clayman) is a psychologist, reading 
specialist, college writing instructor, former classroom teacher, 
national presenter, and author of books and articles for children, 
parents and teachers. Deborah's children's books (Snow In Jerusalem and 
Hanukkah Moon) reflect her activist commitment to world peace, to 
discouraging stereotyping in literature for children, and to promoting 
animal welfare issues.

joining? Come to the Newcomers' Meeting, held following the last 
platform of every month, and learn more about Ethical Culture and about 
our Society-its history, its philosophy, and its organization. Meetings 
last about one hour and attendance is recommended before becoming a member
